2. Applicant Requirements:
a. Applicant must be a
• senior in high school who has been accepted as a full/part time student at any college, university or trade school (if college acceptance is pending please note that on the application)
• or a freshman, sophomore, or junior at any college, university or trade school
• Applicant may re-apply annually, however an applicant may only receive the scholarship once.
• Scholarships will be presented at either the Summer Draft Horse Picnic or the MDHB State Show
• Scholarship funds will be sent directly to the financial office of the college, university, or trade school of the recipient’s choice.
3. Selection Criteria:
a. 30% academic accomplishments
b. 30% horse related activities
c. 20% school and community activities
d. 20% essay
