State Breeders Show: Contact Renee Dingman for entry information for the show. The show informaton includes information about class sponsorship and program advertising.
Michigan Equine Partnership Annual Meeting and Legislative Reception: The meeting was well attended by horsemen and legislators alike. MDHBA had a very eye appealing, informative booth, which captured many people’s attention. Thank you goes to Carlene Davis for organizing the booth. She developed an informational brochure outlining the activities and economic impact of MDHBA, MGLI, Great Lakes Draft Horse Sale and the Michigan Dynamometer Association.
Centreville Classic Show: A new Classic Series show will be held June 27 and 28 at the St. Joseph County Fairgrounds in Centreville. There will be a Classic Series Six Horse Hitch class on both days. For information, contact Ross Honsberger, 419/466-2529 or Jason Hardy, 616/642-6631.
Zina Bolgos: The draft horse industry lost a wonderful supporter with the passing of Zina Bolgos. He had been an active member since 1972. His family designated MDHBA for memorial contributions.
Directory: The directory is almost ready to go to print. Thank you to all advertisers and to Jane Miller for coordinating those ads. Directories will be sent to member when printed and will be available at the picnic (if all ads are in) and the State Breeders Show.
Fund Raiser: Howard McCalla coordinated another Charitable Gaming fund raiser for the association Easter weekend. We raised $2,652.50. Thanks to all of the volunteers who worked at the tournament and Howard for all his hard work organizing (and working at) this fund raiser.
See you at the picnic June 21!
